Valencia is among the biggest cities in Spain and is famous for its annual festival celebrating the feast of Saint Joseph; the Falles. The event itself takes place for five days but the preparations usually take a full year, with charity events and the creations of the sardonic paper dolls that will be showcased in an elaborate parade during the celebration.

It has captured world attention not only because of the lively and entertaining atmosphere it creates but also because of the dolls that are on parade which are usually caricatures of people –famous and infamous.

It is also in Valencia that you can sample authentic paella; having been the place that first whipped-up this world-famous dish.
