Yellow and white licensed taxis are available on the terminal forecourt. By train there is a direct non-stop train service from Fuimicino Airport Station to Roma Termini station. Trains run every half hour during the day, from 06:37 to 23:37. Journey time is around 32 minutes. Fare: EUR€8.80. The Metropolitan FM1 train service to Roma Tiburtina station runs from 05.57 then every 15 minutes from 06:27 to 21:27, then half hourly until 23.27. Journey time is around 42 minutes. Alternatively you can hire a car from the domestic and international arrivals lounge where Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Italy by Car, Maggiore, Sixt and Targa Rent all have counters.
The Airport is only the beginning, as it opens the door to one of the greatest cities in human history; Rome located just a short breath away. The coliseum, St-Peter’s Basilica or simply great snapshots of cultural wonders wait as soon as the plane lands. Only one disappointment; having to get back on that plane once vacations are over!
