easyJet has made an announcement that they will operate 2 new routes to Geneva and Sofia from the Manchester International Airport. Starting in December, the airline is adding these 2 routes in order to provide flights for the holidaymakers that are traveling to Europe for skiing. The Bulgarian city flights are going to start on December 11th, and the Switzerland flights will begin on December 12th. They will run 9 flights to Geneva per week, which will provide passengers with a way to reach the ski resorts in the Swiss and French Alps. There will be 3 flights per week to Sofia where the Bansko and Pamporovo resorts are easy to get to from the city.

The commercial manager in the United Kingdom for easyJet, Carly Brear, said that the 2 new Manchester routes are additional proof that travelers have a demand for low-cost services to Europe from the northwest. Geneva has become a very popular destination for travelers from the United Kingdom, and it is exciting that they can replicate that same success from Manchester, she continued. Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is anticipated to become popular now that more people are discovering what both the city and the areas surrounding it have to offer, she added.

Also, the airline has announced the details of their schedule for this winter, which includes Paris and Krakow flights from Edinburgh and services from Belfast to Venice and Prague. Earlier in the year, the airline also added flights from Liverpool to Innsbruck, which will be part of the winter schedule for easyJet as well.
