A mother of a 15 year old Victorville girl was caught allowing her teenager to have sex repeatedly with a parolee, which is a term used for someone released on parole or probation, investigators say.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies allegedly caught 25 year old Anthony Vaux (the parolee) having sex with the under age teen last Sunday at a Travelodge hotel. The deputies had been acting on an anonymous tip that someone had called in.

After being caught at the Travelodge hotel, Anthony Vaux was booked for felony sex with a minor. This act goes against The Sexual Offenses Act of 2003, which covers Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This new sexual offense law helps to make wording in the first sexual offense law more clear. It also created several new offenses, such as assault by penetration, penetration of any part of a corpse, and forcing a child to watch sexual acts. The law also prohibits child prostitution, pimping, and sex trafficking. On top of this, Anthony Vaux also lost his right for parole.

The investigators went on to say that the teen’s mother was fully aware that her daughter was having sexual relations with Vaux for weeks and allowed it to go on. A complaint of the mother’s action is in the works and has now been sent to prosecutors.

In the UK, the age of consent remains at 16. This is despite the fact that child pornography has been changed in The Sexual Offenses Act of 2003 to include images of 16 and 17 year olds.
