21 years of successful service in the air and on the ground has been extended till 2013.

Europe’s largest airline, Air France, has extended it long-time relationship with the world’s leading general use car rental brand, Hertz.

The extension of the preferred partnership agreement is a continuation of what was once the first ever deal made by the car hire company with a European airline, which over time has created a series of successful innovations and advancements in technology and customer service. The deal allows passengers with the airline to utilise the 8,200 locations offered by Hertz in 146 countries across the globe.

Under the worldwide partnership, Air France passengers can continue to benefit with preferential rates across an extensive range of Hertz vehicles. The airline’s loyalty program Flying Blue members will also enjoy benefits such as standard discounts of up to 15 per cent and Flying Blue Miles earned on every rental. Regular travellers also receive complimentary vehicle upgrades from Hertz, along with an invitation to become part of the premier car membership programme – Hertz #1 Club Gold – that provides fast-track solutions at participating locations. Furthermore, Hertz is the exclusive partner in the credit card program operated by Air France – KLM and American Express Platinum, which offers cardholders a wide range of additional benefits.

President of Hertz International, Michel Taride, said that the partnership with Air France had been a success due to the respective organisations sharing common goals and dedication to excellence.
