Alton Towers is among the top five tourist attractions in all of the UK. The attraction itself gets almost 2.5 million visitors every year, and is among one of the most visited theme parks in Europe. To help keep visitors, as well as employees safe, Alton Towers has installed Honeywell Fusion DVR’s.

Last summer, Alton Towers had noticed that their video surveillance system needed to be updated. One of the main things that needed to be updated was the recording platform, which was still recording in VHS.

The Midlands Electrical Fire and Security company was appointed to carry out the contract for Alton Towers. This company has been the official security and maintenance contractor for Alton Towers, and also the leading installer in all of the Midlands and Staffordshire.

Alton Towers said that the park’s security system needed to be upgraded, not because it was not working, but because of the size of the park and the vast number of crowds that are coming through the park. Alton Towers knows that keeping an up-to-date management system is essential to keeping all the rides, staff, and visitors secure and safe.

However, this is not the first adjustments that Alton Towers has done on their security systems lately. In fact, Alton Towers, over the past few months, has been updating their security measurements due to a few thieves that were stealing bags. Although the bag thieves were caught, the park felt it was time to start upgrading their equipment.

Some of the benefits that come with upgrading their security system includes the ability to instantly review a recording at a specific time. Also, all the recordings will now be in high resolution.
