One of the biggest tourist attractions in the UK, Alton Towers, has just recently released some new details about its £15 million roller coaster. This is the roller coaster that is supposedly so frightening that Alton Towers is considering putting a strict age limit on it for young and old alike.
Apparently the announcement has been made that this new ultimate roller coaster is going to be called Thirteen. Until now, Thirteen has been kept under the secret name know as Secret Weapon 6. Of course, with a name like that it has been the subject of much speculation with fans of the park.
The new ride is also being billed as the scariest ride in the UK and will use new technology, which will be the first of its kind anywhere in the world. Thus, this is a ride that Alton Towers believes will bring in tourists from all over the world.
This new technology will potentially make the ride so scary that only visitors between the ages of 16 and 55 will be allowed to ride due to concerns about emotional maturity and, of course, physical health. Also, the ride could be limited to just one ride per day and the rider will be required to sign a waiver which assures that Alton Towers cannot be sued over physical or mental problems caused by the ride.
Thirteen has been designed for two years and will take nine months to build. This is one ride that has gotten so much hype now that it is sure to bring in roller coaster lovers from all over the world.
