One school in the UK is offering up a special reward for all of their students who have a 100 percent attendance record. The reward states that all kids that have made it to everyday of school will get to go on an end of the year class trip to Alton Towers. However, some parents say that this special reward is causing kids to do unsafe things.

In fact, one parent became very upset when her daughter chose to hobble to school with a broken leg just so that she would be able to qualify for the Alton Towers trip. Determined to have a 100 percent attendance record, the high school girl hobbled almost a half of mile to school with a broken leg. The girl had shattered her shin bone after falling down the stairs when trying to get ready for school.

Although the mother never would have let the girl go to school with a broken shin bone, the 15 year old girl played down the injury as well as she could, so that she would not miss the end of the year trip to Alton Towers.

After spending the whole day at school in pain after breaking her leg, the girl found the power to walk all the way home. As she walked in the front door she collapsed. It was then that she was taken to the doctor and a cast was finally put on her broken leg.

Many parents today are now criticizing the attendance reward at this UK high school. The parents say that they are putting way too much pressure on these young children. The mother of the daughter said that she felt just awful that her daughter felt that she had to hide her injuries so that she could go on a school field trip.

The girl said that she knew something was wrong, but she walked on it anyway. She took breaks at school all day long in the bathroom to cry, because it hurt so bad.
