It is hard on companies when they have customers that don’t follow the traffic laws. At Germany’s top mobility provider headquarters, there are hundreds of traffic notifications received every day. They all range from parking fines and speeding tickets to all kinds of other traffic violations. Now that Sixt is using AnyDoc Software, they will be able to speed up the traffic violation processing by capturing and classifying the documents automatically.
Sixt is one of the biggest car rental companies internationally who provides leasing and other associated services. They have have been experiencing every day that there are some rental customers who are not strangers to not following traffic rules, and they been receiving tons of letters for traffic offenses daily. All of the documents are sent to Sixt’s administration in Rostock for processing. It use to take several days of work to complete the processing of these documents, because they would be send to Munich, sent out to Rostock from there, processed manually, and then replies would be sent out.
Now, thanks to this new solution, all of the documents can be captured electronically with AnyDoc’s OCR. This software will classify each document as to what type it is, whether it’s a warning or a fine, and then it will identify the sender and the correct administration or authorities. By using search algorithms, other data, such as license plate numbers, date and time of the occurrence, and the place it happened, are also automatically extracted, which allows for the rental customer or driver to be identified. With the use of this software, they are now able to process traffic violations 3 times faster.
