In a very strategic and significant move, Avis has signed a contract with Flybe that will make them an exclusive car hire partner with the airline for 3 years. The move comes as a result from the successful relationship that the firm has enjoyed for the last 5 years. Simon Lilley, the Marketing Director of Flybe, said that they are delighted having Avis on board with them for an additional 3 years. Their renewed partnership with them is just more proof that the carrier continues to be committed in investing heavily into their products on the ground, he continued, and their target is to maintain their passengers’ loyalty, as well as entice an increase in their passenger numbers from legacy and budget competitors.
The two companies’ association is said to be highly beneficial, satisfying both of their similar interests. The firms said they will explore new ways for marketing that will attract passengers to Flybe. Most notably, both firms have announced that their customers will enjoy the launch of new initiatives that will integrate the booking process of care hire and flights, which will be announced in the months coming up. Daniel McCarthy, the Commercial Director of Avis, commented that they are happy to continue building their successful and long standing partnership with Flybe, and they will support the carrier’s ambition for delivering better products on the ground for their customers by providing them with the best car hire experience in the travel industry, which will be tailored around the flying passenger’s needs.
