The world’s leading travel transaction processor and technology partner, Amadeus, has unveiled a new car booking tool.
The new vehicle reservation engine will employ a user-friendly interface and cutting edge technology to better assist travel agents making customer bookings.
The program, which forms part of version 6.1 of the Amadeus Selling Platform, will be made available from this summer, with agents able to access the Cars Plus service in up to ten different languages via the Amadeus global booking system.
Cars Plus, in addition to offering an intuitive booking service, will also feature a host of new sales tools designed to deliver the best possible customer service. Among these are advanced search capabilities, which allow a specific address or landmark to be used for searches, and the ability to view and compare multiple availabilities. The service also pre-populates fields from pre-existing customer profiles to various travel agency policies along with a new, extensive range of multimedia images.
The simple to use booking tools from Cars Plus will theoretically enable agents to create instant revenue opportunities while at the same time generating customer loyalty through efficiency.
Cars Plus also helps vehicle providers by offering merchandising opportunities. The excellent multi-media options available to suppliers means that companies will be able to highlight their services while easily differentiating their brand offerings.
The UK launch with Amadeus follows successful trials of Cars Plus in markets elsewhere, with the group anticipating an upsurge in both bookings and agent confidence using the new technology.
