Thrifty Car Rental, the premier car hire company in the United Arab Emirates, has kicked off its summer season by improving its promotional campaigns.

Yesterday, Thrifty announced its new promotional rates that are to be offered only to Emirates NBD credit card holders. From May 2010 until the end of April 2011, the new rates will apply to Thrifty locations throughout the UAE.

Plans for change began when Rahul Sign, Thrifty Car Rental’s general manager, noticed that a number of customers preferred “renting through special rates.” He also found that people who rented cars spent “cautiously” and made comparisons by “shopping around for value.”

The principal bank of the region, Emirates NBD, provides its credit card holders with attractive offers. All over the world, Emirates NBD cardholders can cut back on costs when renting with Thrifty in the UAE.

Emirates NBD have branches in Qatar, King of Saudi Arabia, the UK, the UAE and the Channel Islands.
Thrifty is the biggest car hire firm in the UAE with a fleet that exceeds 14,000 vehicles.

It has operations across the region and more than 30 outlets in Sharjah, Dubai, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaima. Outside of North America, Thrifty is the biggest branch of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc.
