Emirates Airlines has announced that they plan to showcase their new, double-decker A380 on exclusive familiarization flights for Los Angeles and San Francisco. These familiarization flights will take place right after the inaugural Dubai to New York flight, which will take place on the first of August. Invited guests from Los Angeles and San Francisco will get the chance to take a look at the Airbus A380 before its 3-time a week Dubai to New York service begins. The service from Emirates will mark the first time that any airline has operated the A380 on commercial flights within the United States.

The familiarization flights in San Francisco are scheduled to begin on the 4th of August from the San Francisco International Airport. The guests who have been invited will get the opportunity to take a tour of the aircraft, which has 14 first class seats, 76 business class seats, and 399 seats in the economy class. The next day, the 5th of August, Los Angeles’ residents will get their opportunity to tour the aircraft at the Flight Path Museum, which is located in the Imperial Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport. The invited guests will also get to enjoy Emirates’ premier service and on-board amenities.

Nigel Page, the Senior Vice President, said that the familiarization flights will allow guests the chance to experience and feel the aircraft while they learn more about the world-class comforts and amenities of Emirates. This is an exciting way for them to introduce their airline before they begin their services for the cities later this year, he added.
