Car rental firm Enterprise announced on Tuesday that it is readying itself for the Halifax 2011 Canada Games.
Enterprise is a Sapphire Sponsor and the preferred car rental firm for the event, which is set to take place from the 11th through the 27th of February this year. The Canada Games take place every two years and alternate between summer and winter sports.
This year’s event will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where the country’s top and up and coming athletes will compete in a number of events. It will be the first edition of the Canada Winter Games and will feature more than 2,700 athletes. Event organisers point out that more than 60% of the medals won at last year’s Vancouver Winter Olympics were taken by Canada Games alumni.
Enterprise Halifax vice president Andrew Feldman said that his firm was proud to be sponsoring an event that had allowed more than 100,000 athletes to live their dreams.
Enterprise Rent A Car will be providing vehicles for event officials as well as for the athletes’ families and friends. Additionally, the firm will be recognised in a ceremony during the games for its contributions as part of its Sapphire-level sponsorship for the event.
