Apparently the would-be terrorist that tried to blow up a United States jet on Christmas Day has recently revealed that there are more just like him that are currently being trained by al-Qaeda. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab went on to tell agents that were questioning him that he was one of many bombers being groomed to perform more attacks on American-bound aircrafts.

His words come just after al-Qaeda came forward and claimed responsibility for the failed bombing. A statement that was posted on a website said that the attack was in retaliation for the United States backed-raids on December 17th on its militants in Yemen. During this event, at least 60 people where reported to have been killed.

The statement went on to say that they are telling the American people that, since they support the leaders who kill their women and children, they have come to slaughter and will strike people down with no warning. This statement comes as United States President Barack Obama vowed not to rest until the terrorists were tracked down.

Obama, interrupting his Christmas holiday in Hawaii, said that they will continue to use every element to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat the violent extremists who threaten America. They will track down these extremists whether they are from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, or anywhere that they may be plotting from.

The UK Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, said that he thinks that the terrorist did not act alone. An investigation was also launched in Holland where the Northwest Airlines flight stopped before flying onto Detroit to trace a man allegedly seen with Abdulmutallab before he boarded the plane.
