Exactly 97 years after the Titanic was lost to the sea, tickets have gone on sale for a Titanic memorial cruise. Tickets are on sale now and will be on sale until they are sold out or until the departure date of April 2012. This will mark the 100th year since the sinking of the Titanic.

The Titanic cruise will take place on the Balmoral, which is operated by Fred Olsen Curise Lines. The ship will carry 1,309 passengers, which is the same number that sailed on the maiden voyage of the Titanic. The ship will also follow the same course as the Titanic did as well.

April 14, the Blamoral will reach the spot where the Titanic went down. This is where 1,500 people lost their lives to the freezing water below. At this time, a memorial service will be held at 11:40 PM when the Titanic first hit the iceberg. At 2:20 AM another memorial service will be held to honor when the ship finally went down.

After this, the Blamoral will continue on its way to Halifax, Nova Scotia. This will include an excursion to the Fairview Lawn Cemetery where 121 Titanic victims are buried. From there, the ship will head on its way to New York, the place where the Titanic was really heading.

The cruise will be a 12 night cruise. Also, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines wants everyone to rest assure that everyone will be safe on this cruise. The Titanic only had 401 crew members, and the Blamoral has 500. Also, as required by law now, the ship is equipped with enough life boats to fit every passenger.
