There is no denying that ours is an increasingly technological age, and the new generation of all-in-one Smartphone’s are a godsend to the high-tech traveller.

Unfortunately, for most of us the technical know-how is too difficult while those in the know often find it too slow. However, with the right handset, understanding and browser software today’s traveller can perform all manner of tasks to make life easier, without having to find a PC or carry a laptop.

So which browsers are best for you? A new study by PC Mag reveals their best picks;

The Blackberry is popular with businesses and can run Java applications right away. Its capability means that Curves, 8800’s and Pearls can use the latest Opera software. Blackberry streams RSS feeds and video with great speed.

Opera continues to make its powerful Windows browser user-friendly, although many handsets and screens struggle to keep up with the lightning-fast processing times.

Skyfire 1.0 was released with great fanfare and displays Silverlight, Ajax and Flash content that is beyond the pale of the popular iPhone. The web-browser is quick and the screen of ample size. Skyfire works well with Nokia and Windows mobile products.

Lastly, BOLT is a browser which works well with Blackberries and replicates pages with almost perfect accuracy. This means that some sites usually inaccessible to most phones are crisp and clear. Bolt also has a rather snazzy split-screen option.

Then of course there are the rest of us who apparently remain in the dark ages and prefer to use a mobile phone to talk to people.
