Figures that have been released by a survey, which was taken by members of Priority Pass, show that Heathrow Airport has been voted as the worst in the world. Priority Pass is one of the world’s leading independent airport lounge programs. The survey included responses from 160 countries and only respondents that took, on average, 17 flights this year were allowed to take part in the survey.

This would not have been as bad had this not been a repeat of last year’s results, as well for Heathrow Airport. Last year the airport was till recovering from the very ill fated opening of Terminal 5, in which many passengers had to wait through lengthy flight delays, and a large number of people lost their bags.

Of course, Heathrow Airport was quick to point out that the punctuality for their flights had improved a lot over the summer. In fact, figures released by the Civil Aviation Authority back this up by showing that their punctuality for flights improved by 14 percent between April and June of this year when compared to last year’s numbers. The average delay was down from 18 minutes to just ten minutes overall.

The airport’s chief operating officer, Mike Brown, said that they are currently working very hard to make every passenger’s journey better than the last. The figures that were released by the Civil Aviation Authority show the airport’s progress in that department.

The second worst airline in the world was Charles de Gaulle airport located in Paris, France. The third and fourth worst airports in the world were both located in the United States. These two airports were Los Angeles, Frankfurt International Airport and Miami International Airport respectively.
