The largest hire car operator in the world, the Hertz Corporation, continued its outstanding recent run of recognition with two New Year awards, being voted ‘Best Car Rental Company in the US’ and ‘Best Car Rental Company in Europe’ from the German Business Traveller. The annual reader survey looks at a range of diverse travel companies across the industry.
In addition to the above, Hertz also won the ‘Best Rental Car Company’ gong from the UK operator Buying Business Travel. This is the further time that Hertz has received the award, voted for by members of the international travel purchasing community in conjunction with rental fleet operators.
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman for the Hertz group Mark P. Frissora commented that the start of 2010 mirrored the successful conclusion to 2009n when Hertz also took home two major European awards. In 2009, Hertz won a total of 16 awards – achievement that Frissora feels rightly proud of. Voted for by independent customers, business partners, industry experts and editorial boards the victory tally is testament to the Hertz Company’s dedication to providing tailored individual customer service and value.
Late last year Hertz won both ‘Best International’ and ‘Best Domestic’ honours from the Travel Weekly publication. This was in addition to the titles of the Reader’s Digest (UK) ‘Most Trusted Brand of Car Hire’, Conde Nast Traveller ‘Readers’ Choice’ (for the 17th year in a row), ‘Best Car Rental in North America’ for the 16th year in a row, ‘Best Car Rental Company Worldwide’ and a fourth consecutive nomination into the TTG Asia Travel Hall of Fame. The Czech Republic and Swiss operations also won accolades from Travel Trade Gazette and Travel Inside magazines respectively.
