Hertz UAE has announced that it will be bringing a new edition to its UAE rental fleet with the edition of 2,000 new vehicles.

This is the largest auto purchase by any rental company thus far in the UAE, which the company says will give customers good selection and quality vehicles in both the corporate market and the leisure market.

The new purchase will bring the current rental fleet up to more than 8,500 vehicles in the UAE market. The move is part of Hertz’s policy of retaining vehicles for a period no longer than 18 months, saying this sets them apart from the competition.

Hertz UAE’s managing director, Nigel Johnson, said that his company would continue this cycle in order to benefit customers.

He also said that Hertz UAE believes customers are looking to be confident in driving excellent quality vehicles alongside a high level of safety and excellent customer service benefits.

Mr Johnson went on to call the 2,000-vehicle purchase a milestone for Hertz UAE and the whole of the UAE car hire market. He added that it was a way to stay ahead of the competition and came about due to increased customer demand.

In promoting the new purchase, Hertz UAE is offering 20% savings on new monthly bookings and a free tank of fuel until the end of the year.
