InterContinental Hotels has announced that they have appointed Carsten Reiher as their new Director of Operations in Palestine and Jordan. Reiher is also going to take on the role of General Manager for the upcoming properties of Holiday Inn Dead Sea and Crowne Plaza Dead Sea. Reiher is bringing more than 20 years of experience with him, serving in the industry of hospitality in other General Management positions for numerous Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, and InterContinental Hotels throughout Europe.

In Reiher’s new position, he will be responsible for seven properties in total within Palestine and Jordan, including another two properties that are set for opening on the Dead Sea. Reihers role will include liaising with developers and owners, as well as employees of InterContinental Hotels, throughout the two countries to carry the strong performances from the hotels over to the future.

John Bamsey, the Chief Operating Officer of InterContinental Hotels in Africa and the Middle East, commented on the recent appointment of Carsten Reiher, saying that he has been with InterContinental Hotels for numerous years, bringing with him a great deal of experience from within their hotel portfolio. Reiher’s ability to develop a working environment that is positive for his staff, as well as his leadership skills, are exemplary, he continued, and they are thrilled to welcome him to his new position as the Operations Director for InterContinental Hotels in Palestine and Jordan, as well as his new position as the General Manager over the properties to be opened on the Dead Sea.
