Jet2, an award winning budget airline, has announced that they will be operating flights to Tel Aviv from Manchester, starting May 21st this year. After the collapse of other services similar to this, Jet2 is going to be only carrier offering this route, direct from the northern United Kingdom.

The press release from the carrier claims that this is going to be the first budget route from Manchester to Tel Aviv, and they are confident that they will provide the northern Jewish community of the United Kingdom with an important gateway to one of the largest cities in Israel.

They also say that this route is confirmed to increase to two services per week, beginning in October, as they believe that the route will become a big hit. This service is suppose to depart on Thursdays and Sundays. The flights are set to start at only £70.99 for a one way ticket, which includes taxes and is the cheapest fare available to Tel Aviv from the United Kingdom.

Tel Aviv has become well known as a cosmopolitan beach city, which incorporates nightlife, shopping, café culture, a historic old town, and beautiful beaches, which are facilities suitable for all travelers. Jet2 hopes that this investment into Israel’s tourism is going to strengthen the link between Tel Aviv and Manchester.

Philip Meeson, the Chief Executive of Jet2, said that this city is extremely popular for a destination, and they are confident that there is going to be a large demand for the service. The launch of this route emphasizes Jet2’s drive to keep expanding their network into many markets and countries, he added.
