A two story Lego house, created by Top Gear and Toy Stories presenter James May, is reported to be on its way to being torn down. This news comes as the plans for Legoland to buy this two story Lego house fell through. Leogland wanted this house to be moved to their park to bring in more tourists, as the house seems to be very popular.

If no new owner can be found for the house, it is set to be demolished today. Reports say that whoever buys the house will be paying £50,000 to have it dismantled and reassembled where they want it. Top Gear’s Facebook page is still looking for a buyer, by placing information about the house on the site.

This Lego house was built by more than 1,000 volunteers, and currently stands on the Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking Surrey. However, the vineyard now needs this land to harvest its grapes. The life size house was initially set to be moved to the Legoland theme park in Windsor, Berkshire.

James May says that knocking it down was just wrong in every way. He said that it is truly a lovely thing and tearing it down will surely break the hearts of the thousand people who helped build it. Many people have visited the Lego house since it was completed.

The sales and marketing director of Legoland Windsor, Martin Williams, said that the company could not proceed with the deal to move the house. He said that they are truly disappointed, but they are unable to take in this amazing Lego construction due the costs and logistics of moving and then rebuilding the house at Legoland.
