Reports have now come in that show a hotel night porter from Wolverhampton has been cleared of all rape and sexual assault charges after a jury decided a teenage mother had lied about him attacking her. The man, Charles Mukendu, age 34, had been accused of raping the 18 year old girl at the Premier Inn in the city center on August 9th of last year.

After the jury returned their decision just earlier this week, Mr Mukendu and his family reportedly dropped to their knees in the court and started to call out thanks to the members of the jury. Wolverhampton Crown Court had just heard earlier how the drunken teenage girl lured Mr Mukendu into having sexual intercourse with her in exchange for money, which she needed to get a taxi home. At the time she had told the police that he raped her.

Mrs Justice Dobbs, when summing up the case, said that from the time she entered Premier Inn she was flirting with him and making sexual advances. Mr Stefan Kolodynski, defending Charles, said that once she had made the allegation it set off a juggernaut of a lie that took on a life of its own.

Apparently the teen had been drunk when she arrived at the hotel with her three friends in the early hours of the morning. After attempting to sneak into one room, Mr Mukendu, who was on duty at the time, told the group that they have to be quite and pay for an extra room.

CCTV footage showed two of the girls, including the woman who claimed to have been raped and sexually assaulted, kissing and hugging Mukendu to thank him for allowing them to stay in the hotel. Mukendu went on to tell the jury that she said that she would offer to have sex for £10 so she could get a taxi to get home to see her kid.
