A man was killed right near the terminal of the Edmonds Ferry Dock this week. His motorcycle went out of control and collided with a minivan. Precise causes as to why his motorcycle may have gone out of control and whether the minivan driver was somewhat to blame for the accident are currently under investigation.

The County Medical Examiner’s office identified the man. At the time they were unable to comment about whether or not an autopsy would be performed and what if any information had been found from initial viewings of the body. They did however, disclose the name of the victim which is Don Anderson.

The crash took place in the early evening at the intersection of highway 104 and Dayton street. There is some speculation about how the crash took place. A few witnesses have come forward. However, officially the cause of the crash remains under investigation and no comment has yet been made by police.

The accident caused massive traffic jams in the area for several hours. First, from the initial accident, then in the hours that followed traffic was held up as police collected evidence and took measurements.
