The famous man behind Money Saving Expert, did an interview with GMTV about how to save money on car hires. During this interview he pointed out that travelers are able to save tons of money right now on cheap summer holiday car hires.
Martin says, “car hire has lots of availability and low prices” which makes now the perfect time to find great deals on car hires. He goes on to say, a “taxi from Malaga airport to Mabella is about 50 to 60 quick each way. So that’s 100 quick return taxi”
He points out that car hires can be bought for as little as 10 pounds a day, meaning that travelers can have a car hire for 70 quick instead of 100. This makes it worth having the car hire, even if travelers are just driving back and forth. Most people would be saving about £30 getting the car hire.
Of course, for customers to get the best deals on car hires, Martin says that car hire comparators should be used. His top two choices were Carrental.co.uk and Kayak.co.uk. He says that he likes these two, because both websites search a very wide range of car hire companies. This makes it possible for travelers to find the cheapest rates.
He also said that the prices of car hire could be even lower still if travelers are willing to shop at Tesco with the Tesco Clubcard. The Clubcard vouchers that are offered to its users can get car hires at one quarter of the normal rate. It can also help the travelers land cheaper car insurance and some cash back if they go through a car hire agency.
