It now seems that talks between Ryanair and the BBC have erupted thanks to the broadcasting of a Panorama documentary on the budget airline. The program, which is scheduled to be aired soon, is called Why Hate Ryanair? Pretty much, it is an investigation into the reasons why people claim that they do not like the airline.

However, the budget airline Ryanair has now accused the BBC of making a “hatchet job.” They went on to say that they are particularly unhappy that the BBC has declined an offer of an interview with Michael O’Leary. Ryanair even insisted that the interview could be live or unedited.

The head of communications for Ryanair, Stephen McNamara, said that Ryanair has wasted the last six weeks responding to Panorama’s false claims about Ryanair. He went on to say that Panorama reportedly refused Ryanair’s offer for an unedited interview, because they know that these claims are all false.

Stephen went on to say that Ryanair calls on the BBC to explain why Panorama has refused to provide balance in its programming. He also wants to know why they they fund such rubbish filled investigations.

A spokesman for BBC said that Panorama has asked Ryanair for an interview with Mr. O’Leary, but the airline has sought to impose conditions on how this would be carried out. He went on to say that they wanted to interview Michael O’Leary, but he wanted editorial control, and that is something that no broadcaster would agree to. He went on to urge viewers to make up their own minds by watching the program when it airs.
