It now seems that Ryanair has been dealt a hard blow after being named Britain’s Worst Family Brand. This all comes thanks to a study that was done to find what companies in the UK offer the most family values.
The results of the study show that most people rank Ryanair, the no frills airline, as doing very little to promote family values and does not seem to care or listen to their customers. Almost 100 famous firms in the UK were ranked in this poll that 15,000 Britons took part in.
Although Ryanair came out as the worst company on the list, Marks & Spencer came out on the top of the list. Other companies that ranked towards the bottom include Twitter, Royal Bank of Scotland and PlayStation
Ryanair is not the only airline that was hit hard by this news. In fact, the airline sector as a whole did bad on this study with other airlines like BMI Baby, easyJet and British Midland also ranking rather low. The one good news for the airline industry is that they were not being singled out. Apparently the fast food industry also ranked rather low on the list. Domino’s and Burger King took up some pretty low spots.
Ryanair has been under fire a lot recently, and some of it is due to charging £5 per person per flight just to buy a ticket on a credit card. Apparently these are values and morals that people do not view as being family friendly. Of course, this was just one of the main problems that family oriented people had with Ryanair.
