Europe’s ski resorts will be more available and attractive with the launch of the new website Snowcarbon.co.uk.

The new site, ostensibly offering ski packages by train, aims to entice both snowboarders and skiers onto Europe’s rail network. It offers information including transfers, timetables and bookings to some 30 of Europe’s best resorts.

Snowcarbon will also have dedicated news and resort guides compiled by specialised ski journalists along with an eco-friendly guide to just how big a carbon footprint is made in reaching the resort. The carbon guide offers comparative rail and air travel information to increase awareness and responsibility.

The new website has been designed to meet the needs of skiers and boarders who Snowcarbon claims generally prefer to travel by rail than air. The issue confronting them in the past is that most ski resorts are thought to be inaccessible by train; something that the company argues is incorrect. The website will allow all of the parts of the rail-ski puzzle to be pieced together as up until now the issue has been somewhat of a jigsaw.
