United Arab Emirates (UAE) holiday drivers heading abroad this summer can take advantage of a great range of new rental deals from Hertz.
Hertz, the largest general use car rental company in the world, has launched the new deals as the region continues to boom as a business and expat destination, meaning an increasing number of residents who will be travelling from the area this holiday season, even as inbound tourism arrives.
For a limited time, holiday makers from the UAE can take advantage of discounts on selected Hertz rentals at a huge number of participating destinations, including the UK, Italy, Belgium, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the United States, with 15 per cent of all standard contracts. Travellers heading south to Australia will be offered a discount of 20 per cent on their holiday rentals.
The heavily discounted rates apply to reservations booked through the Hertz International Reservations desk up until the end of this month, with the rental period covering from now until the end of September 2010, with a seven day minimum hire period.
General Manager for Hertz UAE, Nigel Johnson, said his company was delighted to be able to offer local leisure and business travellers the great deals across the US, Europe and Australia. Johnson also added that the local division has purchased one thousand new vehicles already in 2010, reflecting the trend towards UAE residents using rental vehicles over purchasing their own in an effort to save on costs and logistics.
Hertz is continuing to grow its UAE operation, with Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Plaza set to open a new depot next week, with more locations in the region forecast to follow.
