Themed cruises have already popped up for many niches in recent years. There are cruises for jazz lovers and cruises for nudists. The newest one that will be offered on Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean is Cruises for Divorcees.

The cruise retailer Cruise.com announced its billing formula for these cruises this week. The sailings will leave port this coming October. Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean will be the two cruise lines trying the project. The shortest cruises will be three nights and there are discount tickets available for only $199. A good deal for cruisers who may be tied up with Spousal support payments.

“These cruise groups were designed for divorced individuals to meet, party and perhaps even connect with others who have shared similar relationship experiences,” said Anthony Hamawy, president of Cruise.com.

The first divorcee cruise will be three nights from Miami to Bahamas on October 16. This will be on Norwegian Sky. Two more voyages are planned for November 16 and December 18. They will be a five day Mexico to San Diego cruise and three day Bahamas from Miami. If the first three cruises go well it is expected that many more will be offered next year.
