Thrifty Car Rental of Oman announced last week that it would increase the size of its current fleet by 10% and improve roadside service.
The news comes as the company, a Thrifty Automotive Group franchisee, says demand is on the rise.
Deputy Managing Director of Thrifty Car Rental in Oman, Mehdi Jaffer, said that his company is looking forward to a spike in business in the coming two months as a result of holiday travel as well as ideal weather conditions in the region.
Jaffer went on to say that after experiencing higher demand for 4WD vehicles last year, the majority of the additions are 4WD vehicles. He added that the fleet have also been updated with the latest Sat Nav technology on offer, which is ideal for travel in Oman.
In addition to increases and updates in the current rental fleet, Thrifty Oman said it would be ramping up its roadside services as a result of increased rental traffic in the forthcoming months.
Mr Jaffer said that his company would provide 24-hour breakdown support for customers, which is imperative as the number of rental patrons increases during the cooler months ahead.
One final addition to Thrifty Oman is the opening of a new branch in Ruwi, a prime regional centre for business.
