An amusing and creative TV ad by Frontier Airlines has won an Emmy. The commercial aims to explain why the carrier’s Airplanes have Tiger’s on it tail and not cows.
Advertisers are most excited that the award will them the chance to have their add well viewed on Youtube videos. They go on to humbly state that the Frontier ads are among the best airline commercials around. They are mostly viewed in the Dallas-Fort Worth Market, as this is where the airline is based, but they have what is described as a “cool factor” that could appeal to travelers around the country.
Frontier’s advertising director made a statement about their core concept which involves animals painted onto the tails of their plane and in most of their posters and materials “Frontier’s spokesanimals are such a significant part of this airline. We couldn’t be happier to have received this award recognizing their importance to our brand and their ability to share news with our customers in an engaging and entertaining way.”
Frontier’s creative ad agency is Grey NYC. The Regional Emmy Award was given on July 18 by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
