The opening of Marriott’s new Waikiki Edition hotel property saw the likes of a number of celebrities enjoying some down time, including Vanessa Hudgens, Whitney Port, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Christina Aguilera, all of whom were spotted basking in the Hawaiian sun on the resort’s beachfront.

Aguilera, who has recently announced a divorce after a five-year marriage, turned heads and posed for photographs at the resort’s opening ceremony on Friday night, decked out in a skin-tight salmon-pink frock.

On Saturday, Aguilera was spotted dining with a few friends at Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s onsite restaurant. Among Christina’s friends were Bijou Philipps, producer Chris “Tricky” Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens and Danny Masterson.

While Hudgens didn’t take to the dance floor on her holiday, she was sighted heading out with a 7-foot surfboard in true Hawaiian fashion.

The brand new resort is the latest hotel from Marriott, who teamed up with star hotelier Ian Schrager to design a one of kind concept for the Hawaiian enterprise.

The 353-room structure is the first of the Edition series of pricey luxury properties. The chain is expected to open a string of additional resorts in hot spots such as Barcelona, Miami’s South Beach, Istanbul, Bangkok and Mexico City.
