On The Blue has just confirmed Justin Hayward will be hosting a Caribbean classic rock cruise early next year. The 70s singing icon and Moody Blue will be joined by an exciting posse of his peers for the five-day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas and Labadee.
Tickets for the music cruise of a lifetime go on sale next Wednesday, the 14 March. On The Blue is chartering the Mariner of the Seas from prestigious cruise line Royal Caribbean. The ship has two music auditoriums and this ensures fans will be getting almost non-stop entertainment.
In addition to Justin Hayward and the Moody Blues, other acts scheduled to play live for guests aboard the On The Blue Cruise include Alan Parsons, the remnants of ELO (the Electric Light Orchestra), Procol Harum and former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett.
On The Blue says more classic rock bands and solo artistes are expected to be added to the line-up before Mariner of the Seas sets sail on the 10 February 2019. Leading music industry luminaries Jon Kirkman and Sal Cirrincione will also be on board and lending helping hands as masters of ceremonies.
Mariner of the Seas will call at Nassau in the Bahamas, where the legendary Paradise Island is one of the optional excursions, and Royal Caribbeans own private isle, Labadee. Royal Caribbean is spending US$100 million (72 million) on refurbishing the Mariner and she will offer music fans a whole raft of amenities to harmonise the voyage.
