The fact that you no

The fact that you no longer have a phone number to call customer service is massively detrimental. I am actively looking for a different provider since you removed the one very significant competitive advantage and route-to-service you had. You should, at minimum, provide and online chat facility. I have been using 121 for 15 years or more and have always been very happy with it but I am unlikely to continue.

Currently not offering scheduled passenger services, Thisted Airport served two daily return flights to Copenhagen until early 2007. The airport is located 15kms from the Danish town of the same name and eight kilometres from Hanstholm. Car hire in Thisted Airport is available on request.

Thisted Airport facilities

There are no passenger facilities in operation at Thisted Airport at present, although SunAir maintains an aircraft repair and maintenance depot on the site and the airport supports refueling and other services for general aviation and private charters, including a rest room for pilots. The services are provided on a Monday to Friday basis.

Thisted Airport excursions

A 3,500-year-old Bronze Age burial mound, the largest in Denmark, is located close by at Langdos, and the small town of Thisted is famous for the organic beer produced at its Thisted Bryghus brewery. The pretty centre of town, with its scattering of historic buildings, is pedestrianised. The nearby harbour town of Hanstholme has a long and impressive heritage dating back 1,000 years.

Best time to visit

As with the rest of Denmark, the climate in Thisted is changeable but less cold than the rest of Scandinavia. Long summer days and even longer winter nights make from late spring through to early autumn the best time to visit, with car rental in Thisted Airport the best way to get around. What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
