I was hesitant to book

I was hesitant to book a car from Unirent as I have no previous experience with them, and I prefer to use well known car hire companies because of issues I have had using less well known companies in the past. It worked out fine however because all my dealings at the airport where with Eurocar and I don’t really understand the reasoning behind the Unirent brand especially as I was in two minds not to book a car from them and choose and alternative brand instead.

Although terminal 1 was indicated on the booking. The rental was booked out of terminal 2. After waiting for 90 mins at terminal 1 we had to then go to terminal 2 to collect the car

They should have advised me

They should have advised me that once I had collected the car it would not be possible to extend the rental except in person at their Bordeaux airport office which would have entailed a 2.5 hour round trip

Location information for Montlhéry

The town of Montlhery is located just 15 miles south of Paris and for such a small place it has very colourful history. Many royals have lived in the old castle and the ownership of the town changed many times during the Hundred Years War. Others have occupied the town most recently the Germans during WWII.

The main attraction is the 13th century Chateau de Montlhery that sits commandingly above the town. It was built on the site of a previous castle and is thought to have a chapel hidden beneath it lower court. Tour de Montlhery is a tower that was built to protect the town from attack.

With a car hire at Montlhery you can head just outside the town and to the old racing circuit that has staged such events as the Formula 1 Grand Prix. It was originally constructed as an oval circuit in 1924 and a year later twists and turns were added for the first French Grand Prix here.

With the town being so close to Paris it is easy to use a car rental at Montlhery and drive the short distance. In the capital you will find many attractions and evening entertainment options from chic restaurants to cubs where you can dance all night long.
