In southwestern France, in the Aquitane region, is the town of Marmande. It isn't a town full of tourists as some other French towns are, but still has plenty to do on a quiet summer holiday. Car rental at Marmande Rail Station is for getting out and about.

If you are here during July, you may be lucky enough to join in the celebrations of the Tomato Festival that is held in the town every year for a few days. Special tomato based meals are cooked, there is live music and various stalls around.
