What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

I was hesitant to book

I was hesitant to book a car from Unirent as I have no previous experience with them, and I prefer to use well known car hire companies because of issues I have had using less well known companies in the past. It worked out fine however because all my dealings at the airport where with Eurocar and I don’t really understand the reasoning behind the Unirent brand especially as I was in two minds not to book a car from them and choose and alternative brand instead.

Known for its Cathédrale Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte, the city of Nevers is located in the beautiful Bourgogne or Burgundy region of France. From Paris Gare du Lyon take the direct non-stop train operated by Corail Téoz. The journey takes about two hours on this super-smart train and has wonderful luxuries like leather seats and, located in first class, points for laptops.

France's train system is known for its quick, competent and comfortable services. The Nevers Rail Station is located on Rue Saint Charleville next to the bus station. Then with a cheap car hire at Nevers Rail Station, easily navigate through this historic town and discover the charming countryside.

First stop should be the tourist office for some great information and maps. From the train station take Avenue du Général de Gaulle through Place Carnot to rue Sabatier. Explore the old town and enjoy the popular Nougatine sweets the city has to offer. Visit the church of Saint Etienne and the Ducal Palace too.
