Easy website, easy phone contact when I had questions. Everything well-organized. Friendly staff. Have rented a car through this company several times and have always been very satisfied.

Easy and efficient service.

I booked online a few days before leaving for our holiday. I was panicking whether I had left it too late but I was dealt with speedily and efficiently, with emails arriving within 24 hours confirming there was a car ready for us in Ibiza. The email contained where to meet the representative in the car park that was located straight in front of arrivals door. The rep duly drove us to BK car rentals a few minutes away. The transaction of filling in forms and collecting our car was again speedy and I was dealt with in a very professional manner. Returning the car was a reverse process that was once again speedy and efficient, and the rep kindly drove us to the same car park where we walked into departures within a few minutes. I would highly recommend 121 carhire and BK car rentals. I will definitely use them again.

Collection was easy (mainly because I arrived at a quiet time in the evening) and the car was virtually brand new. NO handbook so had to spend some time guessing about the controls and seat adjustment. No problems during the hire period; the car was great to drive (Fiesta 5-door, which I think was a slight upgrade from the 'Panda 500 or similar' I was expecting). There's no way I could have used a full tank of petrol, so ended up paying for half a tank I didn't use. This is a rip off and swallows up any savings made on the hire cost. Also, when dropping off the car, directions back to the drop-off were poor and the place was hard to find.

Overall, good value for money

We had our car from Centauro, off-airport in Ibiza. Collection of the car took ages, we waited almost 45 minutes to get to the front of the queue. When we eventually got the key, it was for a different model to the one we'd booked. We were told that the car offered, a Toyota Auris, was bigger than the Ford Focus we'd booked. This was news to me, and clearly incorrect. The alternative was a Ford Fiesta! We took the Auris. When we opened the car, although it was clean and had been valeted, it stunk of tobacco smoke. However, rather than face the chaos in the office again, we just drove it away with all the windows wide open! The car itself performed well and was well-used in our time on Ibiza. When we returned the car, we had a pleasant surprise. I knew when I made the booking that I would have to pay extra for a full tank of fuel and theoretically return it with an empty tank - I don't like this practice, which I see as just another way for hire companies to rip off customers, but the overall cost, even with having to pay for a tank of fuel that wouldn't all get used, was still lower that most other companies. So, as I said, I got a pleasant surprise when handing back the car, as we were given a credit of 46 Euros for unused fuel!

Ibiza Goldcar rental

Booking our car hire was simple and efficient. When we arrived in Ibiza we were a little unsure at first of the meeting point which was a little unclear as there was nobody, no sign or a bus at the meeting point, but a minibus came after a while. Although we had to wait a while to be picked up as the first bus was full, we were taken by the second bus to the Goldcar rental office a little way from the airport. Rental arrangements went well. Our car was very nice and we were very pleased with it. We actually hot upgraded to the next category. The only downside was having to pay a full tank of petrol at a cost of 70euros which is impossible to use on a small island. We returned the car with over half a tank and yet there is no refund, so this does double the actual price of rental. We did however know this in advance, although did not expect it to be so much. Drop off was quick and easy and we had no problems. We were careful to note down any marks before taking the car on the first day, but there were no questions over this and overall we had a good experience and were very grateful to have the car.

Price for rental was good and also not ripped on on fuel prices, but car was old with over 100,000 on clock and not even central locking, lots marks on car but not shown around it or anything explained, just seemed they wanted us away as quickly as possible, but no complaints about that, but when returning not such good service as waiting around to be transfered back to airport. Car was ok but very squeeky brakes and clutch made a lot of noise, but done its job and never let us down.

All as hoped!

After coming out of the main doors at Palma de Mallorca) Airport we easily found the parking area for the Transfer Minibus. We waited less than 5 mins for one to arrive (we travelled in September). The driver was friendly and helpful. The drive to the Car Lot was pretty brief too. We did have to queue for about 15 mins at the office to get the car but there were toilets, free wifi and and some children's toys. The car was quite new (though the spare tyre was flat so I was offered another car straight away). The vehicle was in good condition, a few scratches here and there but fine. Returning the car was just as easy really and price depending I'd be happy to try Centauro (via 121) again.

Speedy admin/offered an upgrade that was very reasonable which was accepted. Easy return of car. Do not like the arrangement of returning with empty tank. Much prefer the return with a full tank. It is a much fairer arrangement.

Easy as 123 to book with

I would certainly recommend 121 car hire. They were friendly and helpful every time I had to contact them due to me changing my mind. On researching car rental for our holiday we discovered that a lot of rental companies given you the vehicle with an empty tank and you return it empty, the rental company can then charge you what they for the fuel. On discovering his I contacted 121 car hir who were able to find a rental company that had a full out full in policy. This means you rent the car with a full tank of fuel and you return it with a full tank of fuel. We felt this was better value for money as it was our choice as to what we paid for the fuel. in total we paid £220 for two weeks car hire using europcar at Alicante airport. Before committing to renting through 121, I researched what the cost would be if I hired directly through the hire company, and to my horror i discovered that it was vastly dearer than what I was going to pay hrough 121 car hire. I would highly recommend using 121car hire so much so I have already started researching the cost for next years car hire.

Easy, fast, cheap..

The site design was easy enough to navigate and after significant shopping around, it gave results that were by far the cheapest! Our provider 'Marbesol' did however give an extra charge upon arrival for fuel costs. This was unexpected and a hassle but overall it worked out cheaper than competition, if only at less of a margin. On the plus side we got a lift to and from the airport included in the price and the staff were helpful enough after persuasion of anything! Overall the site was clear, the provider let the side down a little but again in their favour for a week only an extra €28 was charged for me as a 21 year of driver. Can't complain at that! All that's required is full info upfront - no hidden fees, like much of the competition.

Cheaper than the rest and clear process to hire. The only small problem was when I collected the car the sales person at the office was trying to sell me more insurance. I never took it, but still a little unsure and unclear about whether I needed more insurance or not. Good new car, fast transport from Alicante airport to depot. Easy and speedy drop off. Major airports and ports

Ibiza's airport, Es Cordola International, is in the south of the island near Ibiza Town, a few kilometres from San Antonio. The port is right in the town, receiving ferries from Barcelona and Valencia on the mainland, as well as from nearby Majorca and Formentera. Ferries also run to San Antonio from Denia on the mainland.

Transport

Ibiza is a lot smaller than Majorca, but public buses are limited and taxis are quite pricey. Driving tips

Motorists drive on the right in Ibiza and, while the main highways are good, some of the back roads are narrow and winding.

San Antonio is the main destination here - a lively, vibrant beach resort town in the west of the island. The main attributes are its wide bay and pumping nightclubs, while Ibiza Town, sleepy in comparison, is a relatively short drive southeast. Not far from here is Santa Eulalia, noted for its fortress and beach, while north again is Santa Eulalia del Rio. La Salinas salt flats, in the south, make a nice detour with car rental in Ibiza.
