Dijon is a popular travel destination in the French region of Burgundy. The city was named after a type of mustard which it produces locally. It is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Originally, the city was the capital of the Dukes of Burgundy when the region was still in power during the 14th century. The Dijon Rail Station is served by TGV trains coming from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. There are also high speed trains from other major cities in France as well as from numerous European destinations including Italy and Belgium.
